GingerFred Men - Brilliant
Bec Sharpe Bakes for the MPT
My classic mini club celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and we decided to hold our first charity trade stand at an indoor show; I organised a cake stall as I love baking and all money raised could go to the Mercury Phoenix Trust. I contacted the charity to ask for posters and balloons to decorate the stand with and collection tins for the money raised.
My boyfriend and I spent a day baking carrot cake, gingerFred men, cookies and cupcakes, my friends Matt and Jo made chocolate brownies and Neil made sausage rolls and cheese scones. I decided on a price of 75p per cake so they were not too expensive but would still raise money for charity and our stand received lots of support, the total for the MPT was £104.14. I thoroughly enjoyed being on the stand and selling my home cooking for the first time and I really must thank my mini club for allowing me to go ahead with the stall. I found it easy to organise and with my friends helping to bake it did not take much time to put together so I will be holding more when I can.
Hugs and moustaches,
Bec x
