Fundraising on eBay.co.uk - MPT goes fishing!
Help raise funds by auctioning your wares on eBay.co.uk and donating the proceeds to the MPT! eBay works because one person’s junk is another person’s treasure, and we know that some of you are even kind enough to sell your very own treasure in the form of memorabilia. Read on to find out how you can donate a percentage of the proceeds of any auction to the charity and help in the fight against AIDS worldwide.
Over the past 6 months we have had a lot of queries on how to raise funds for the charity using eBay.co.uk so we are proud to announce that we are now live on Mission Fish, which is the charity payment engine behind eBay.
This means that when you are selling an item on eBay.co.uk whether through an auction, a buy it now or even your own shop, you can choose to donate 10%-100% of the proceeds to the MPT.
There are some 1-2-3 steps on how to set up your auction as a charity sale at the link below, but basically the only difference form a normal listing is that you select us as the charity you want to support, the % of the proceeds that you wish to donate to us and the item is listed as normal but with and additional blue and yellow eBay for Charity ribbon
in search results and The MPT’s mission statement and logo in your listing.

In addition to an extra source of funds, which are always gratefully received, adding us as your charity will also raise awareness as our logo and mission will be on view to the whole eBay.co.uk community.
But it’s not all benefit for us, every time you list an item for the MPT, you’ll get a fee credit on your basic insertion and final value fees equal to the percentage you donate. So if you donate 50% of your selling price to a charity, eBay will waive 50% of your fees.
You can view these and any donations in your seller profile, so you can keep track of just how much good you’re doing! Thanks for all the support and questions on this topic to date, happy eBaying and happy fishing!
