The FFAD Global Charity Network

What Is The Charity Network

What Is It?

We believe in fighting AIDS worldwide and to do this to the best of our ability we know that we have to operate at both a global and local level to reach as many people as we possibly can.

For this reason the Mercury Phoenix Trust is launching a unique and exciting new initiative called the Freddie For A Day Global Charity Network.

The Freddie For A Day Global Charity Network aims to use the life and legacy of Freddie Mercury to bring together as many AIDS related charities as possible from around the globe and join them together, as Official Affiliated Charities, each year in Freddie's memory to celebrate his birthday on September 5th.

How Does It Work?

We are looking to find one charity partner from each country around the world to join our network each year in the fight against AIDS.

By joining us we will give you access to a fully licensed Freddie For A Day pack of materials to help you to promote the Freddie For A Day initiative: images of Freddie, the FFAD logo and a FFAD poster so you can host your very own local Freddie For A Day fundraising events or initiatives. We can also help you source costumes and moustaches.

The difference with our network is that any money you raise for your AIDS related charity you get to keep and distribute as you normally would, all we would need is to know what you did, how you did it and how much you raised for this special event.

How To Get Involved

  • You must be a registered charity.
  • Go to the JOIN US section.
  • Tell us which country you are based in and a bit more about your charity
  • We will then review all submissions and contact the selected partners for this year by email and give you access to the relevant details and pack
  • Our aim is to have one partner in every country, so it doesn't matter what size you are, we are interested in working with as many people as possible.
